Playing keyboards for producer/songwriter/ambient pioneer Brian Eno is the impressive musical equivalent of being a sous chef for Thomas Keller or Alice Waters. Producer/composer/remixer/pianist Jon Hopkins has that Eno studio credit to casually mention at parties, as well as a reputation for compelling live shows. The London native’s epic instrumental “Light Through the Veins” may sound familiar to Coldplay fans, as it was worked into both the intro and outro of the band’s 2008’s Viva La Vida album.
