How appropriate that “Vivire Para Ti” is the Song of the Week just as everybody’s pulling skimpy summer clothes out of storage. The fun Venezuelan group fills a highball tall with cool disco and Latin lounge, topped with a gorgeous vocal one-two punch from Julio Briceño and special guest Natalia Lafourcade. Producer Dimitri from Paris gives “Vivire Para Ti” wings to transcend both language and discotheque eras. Let Los Amigos cool you down as the temperature heats up. Former Closer Musik maestro Matias Aguayo is responsible for this whimsical, jumpy creation. The electronic drumming provides an ‘80s electro feel, while captivating, slurred vocals (reminiscent of “I Want Candy”) — and sounds panning from ear to ear — provide a slightly disorienting Doppler effect. “Bo Jack” will get the party started or keep it going. Synth-pop is not going to come to any more perfectly wrapped than it does when delivered by the Swedish duo known as the Tough Alliance. Bright-eyed and playful, “Neo Violence” is an indie pop song dressed to neon-perfection in swashes of bubbling house music and vaguely (and expertly) antiquated production. If you like this song, check out the the full-length album.
