Ana Laan was born in Spain, but grew up in Sweden. Her sweet, sublime voice spins gentle melodies in both Spanish and English, as evidenced on this track “Paradise” from her album Chocolate and Roses. The track’s rhythm has a light bossa-nova, ’60s bachelor pad-esque stylishness but Laan’s cooing vocal turn is the true highlight.

You’ve had your mind blown at the Daft Punk show, you’ve been dancing to Justice for months. Now you’re ready to get a little deeper. Macaco is Dani Macaco and he hails from Barcelona. In the past Macaco has worked extensively as a remixer, fusing together the worlds of hip-hop, flamenco, and pop. “Mama Tierra” is an acoustic funk highlight from his fourth album, Ingravitto and it spotlights the kind of creative vibrancy and genre fusions that Macaco has become internationally known for.
