Los Mono brings positive entergy and inspired, post-modern funk at every corner on their album Somos Los Que Estamos. “Promesas” is a pounding party jam as narrated by robots carrying samplers – with plenty of thick bass lines and the sparkling sprinkle of a harp for exoticism’s sake.

Ana Laan was born in Spain, but grew up in Sweden. Her sweet, sublime voice spins gentle melodies in both Spanish and English, as evidenced on this track “Paradise” from her album Chocolate and Roses. The track’s rhythm has a light bossa-nova, ’60s bachelor pad-esque stylishness but Laan’s cooing vocal turn is the true highlight.

Josiah is the 17 year-old homeless boy that made it to Hollywood in Season 7 of American Idol. He has a strong voice and is very charismatic but was very erratic in his performances. One performance in particular was amazing. In this performance he plays the piano and sings a song titled “Grace Kelly” by Mika that just takes your breath away.

Maria Jose is best known in Mexico for having been part of Kabah, which reached its peak in the late 90s. Although the group was initially considered another bubblegum pop band in the Mexican music scene, the band earned credibility, popularity and album sales with time.
In 2007, her first solo album, Maria Jose, was announced and the first single Quien Eres Tu?, featuring Trey Songz and of dance and hip-hop influences, started to pick up airplay in Mexico. Quien Eres Tu has already reached the Mexican Pop Top 40 and is quickly rising in the chart.
